We just got back last weekend from a short trip to San Francisco, and it was so fun!! In a matter of 2 days, we had eaten at least 10 pound's worth of food ... each. One of our good friends (THANKS LISA!!) suggested checking out a brunch spot called Mymy. At first, we were skeptical about using one of our limited meals on brunch, which we could eat in LA, but since she told us the place had amazing hashbrowns, we decided to give it a shot. This brunch spot was so good, we were going to return AGAIN the day after (but didn't wake up early enough haha).
The place is pretty small and has limited seating inside. But the day was perfect outside, so we took one of the outdoor tables and were seated immediately. Keep in mind, we were there relatively early (about 10am) - otherwise, a line does form outside the door.
Now onto the food, we ordered the Tex Mex Scramble and the Peasant Lorraine Flat Omelette. I mean, wowowowowowowow!!! The Tex Mex Scramble rocked my world. It came with soft tortillas, and the scramble was a pile full of flavor on a thin, crispy sheet of hash brown. The scramble consists of chorizo, garlic, roasted jalapeno, onion, roma tomatoes, pepper jack chipotle aioli, pico de gallo all topped with avocado. It had a hint of spiciness to it. The hashbrown was perfectly crispy and was the perfect combo to a bite of the scramble.
The Peasant Lorraine Flat Omelette consisted of bacon leeks, shallots, asparagus, gruyere, lorraine swiss, topped with grilled tomatoes and served on a sheet of crispy hash brown. The omelette had generous portions of bacon, and the beautiful blended texture of the eggy fluff and asparagus crunch was just a whirlwind of flavors in my mouth.
