🏠 | Cast Iron Pizza

  • Store bought dough (we got ours from Trader Joe's)
  • Shredded mozerella cheese
  • Pizza sauce
  • Toppings of your choice (Ex: pepperoni, mushrooms, jalapenos, truffle paste)
  • Oil

  1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees
  2. Read the instructions on the store bought dough for preparation directions. The Trader Joe's dough we used asked to let the dough sit in room temperature about 30 minutes prior to cooking
  3. Grease the cast iron with oil
  4. Layer the dough along the bottom of the cast iron (this step may be easier with a little bit of flour)
  5. Add the pizza sauce, toppings and cheese
  6. Put the cast iron on stove top with fire at medium-high heat. Leave on for about 5-6 minutes. This will allow for the dough to cook at the bottom a bit and also crisp up the bottom
  7. Move the pan into the oven and cook until the cheese is fully melted and bubbly.
