🏠 | Baked Banana Chips

Considering how many banana trees I go through a week these days, I actually grew up disliking bananas for most of my life. I don’t know.. I guess it was just the gooey texture in my mouth that was a no-go for me. Nonetheless, I LOVE banana chips. While I was on the Paleo diet, I had to be watchful of the ingredients that went into the food I ate.. and sadly, commercialized banana chips are a huge no no. The sugar, frying oil, etc etc etc meant I wasn’t allowed to eat it, so what better than to make my own at home! :) Even without the added sugar, these little babies are a yummy treat. The only downside to this recipe is that it does take a bit of time.

  • Bananas
  • Lemons (just enough to coat all the banana slices)

  1. Preheat oven to 200 degrees
  2. Slice the bananas up into 1/4” pieces
  3. Squeeze the lemon juice into a bowl
  4. Dump the banana slices in and gently mix with your hands so you coat all of them. Don’t be too rough, or the bananas will mush together
  5. Place banana slices on a baking sheet with space between each other
  6. Bake for 2 hours
  7. Flip all them banananananerrs
  8. Bake for another 1.5 – 2 hours
  9. Let them cool to harden a little *optional* you can also freeze them so they’re SUPER hard and cold :)
