🏠 | Honey Roasted Almonds


Clearly, it’s a sweets week for me .. Decided to make some paleo-approved honey roasted almonds :) It takes less than 15 minutes to prepare these little treats! Please keep in mind, these aren’t the sweetest honey roasted almonds, but that’s because they’re a bit healthier than most with additionally added sugar. Nonetheless, they’re still pretty sweet :)

Ingredients

  • 2 cups of raw almonds
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 2 tsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp honey

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  2. Spread the almonds on a baking sheet or foil and place in the oven for 10 minutes. (By putting them on the foil, dull side up, will help them roast faster)
  3. Add the water, olive oil, and honey to a pan over medium high heat, whisking it constantly until they come to a boil
  4. Add the nuts and stir constantly until most of the liquid is absorbed (about 2 minutes)
  5. Add the salt, and mix for about 1 more minute (Make sure not to scorch the almonds)
  6. Spread the almonds on a single layer on a sheet of foil or baking sheet and let it cool before enjoying
